HOCHTIEF Polska has completed the construction of the Bialski shopping centre according to the schedule. Today it was officially opened.
On September 13, 2023, the newly built Karuzela Bialska shopping and service centre in Biała Podlaska was opened. The opening was attended by representatives of HOCHTIEF Polska, the City of Biała Podlaska and the Investor.
Karuzela Bialska with over 19,000 m2 and over 145,000 m3 of cubature is the largest commercial and service facility in the city. The retail park is a single-storey building with a layout of shopping avenues. In front of the building, an above-ground car park with 857 parking spaces was created, including 18 spaces for families with children and 17 spaces for the disabled. In addition, nearly 60 parking spaces for cyclists were provided along with three parking spaces for food-trucks. The building is located on the premises of the former Bialska Fabryka Mebli, near Sportowa and Łomaska streets. Due to its proximity to the railway station, as well as the immediate vicinity of three bus lines, Karuzela will be a place of strategic commercial importance.
At HOCHTIEF Polska, we support the development of regions, and the creation of new places of social activity, such as shopping malls, is a key element in the development of local infrastructure. Karuzela Bialska is not only a shopping center, but also a meeting place for residents. Thanks to the exemplary cooperation between the city, the Investor and the Contractor, the residents of Biała Podlaska gained a long-awaited facility – emphasized Dariusz Skup from HOCHTIEF Polska SA.
The order also included the reconstruction of the intersection of two streets adjacent to the retail park, thanks to which residents gained a modern road system that will improve the flow of traffic in the area.
Thanks to the extensive experience on the HOCHTIEF Polska market and the timeliness and professionalism of the company’s services provided in the implementation of the Karuzela project in Biała Podlaska, we can put into use the newest facility from our portfolio for customers and tenants in accordance with the assumed schedule. We are convinced that as the largest and most modern shopping complex of this type in the region, it will become the main shopping destination providing a wide range of popular brands – said Grzegorz Pękalski, Member of the Management Board of Karuzela Holding.
All works were carried out in accordance with the assumed schedule, thanks to which the residents of Biała Podlaska gained a long-awaited commercial facility.
In addition to the construction of the building, the contractor also restored the historic chimney from 1903, which is a souvenir of the former Furniture Factory.
