On November 26, 2015, the traditional perch was put on the Proximo office building, which is located in the Wola district in Warsaw, at the junction of Prosta and Przyokopowa streets in close proximity to the “Rondo Daszyńskiego” metro station. During the ceremony, the implementation of the shell of a thirteen-storey office building of the A class was symbolically completed. Apart from office areas, there will be a zone with commercial and service premises.
On the underground storeys, a three-level garage with 435 parking spaces, as well as facilities for cyclists in a form of locker rooms and shower rooms have been provided. Rooms for the service staff of the building have also been foreseen. Additional parking spaces intended for the building guests, couriers or taxis will be located within the open parking lot on the ground floor. The facility will consist of 11 lifts, nine of which will operate at the higher part of the building, and the other two will constitute a transport core of the lower part.
The developer of this facility is the Hines Polska company, which thanks to the activity of Hines Russia & Poland Fund (HRPF) – the investor of Proximo – started the execution of the project in June 2014. The completion of the construction work on Proximo has been planned for May 2016. The general contractor of the project is HOCHTIEF Polska, branch in Warsaw.
– All work has progressed in accordance with the assumed schedule. In November, the construction of the reinforced concrete structure was completed. Currently, the work on the implementation of facades, partition walls, as well as installation and finishing works are being performed. The execution of internal roads and finishing the area for lessees remained to be performed, said Kamil Gwadera, the construction manager of HOCHTIEF Polska, branch in Warsaw.
The Proximo architectural design was created by a British design office, Rolfe Judd. In order to complete the work, Proximo also invited an Italian Pininfarina company, which designed the entrance lobby as well as the characteristic entrance to the Proximo patio from the side of Rondo Daszyńskiego. The main characteristics of Proximo include large and effective storey areas, a low common area ratio, excellent lighting of the area and an optimum depth of the wing. In the building, efficient systems and technical installations will be used. In addition, already at the construction stage, the building obtained the international BREEAM certification with the rating “Very Good”.
